Description:

The 3M Hot Melt Connectors have pre-radiused ceramic ferrules and are supplied pre-loaded with hot melt adhesive which is activated when inserted into a specifically designed Hot Melt Oven. The hot melt adhesive does not have a shelf life. The ST and SC 3M Hot Melt Connectors are fully compatible with other ST/ SC connectors and are suitable for use with both 3mm tight jacket cables or 900µm buffered fibres. Various kits and tools are available. The Termination Kit contains all of the tools and consumables required for preparation and termination of Hot Melt Connectors. The Conversion Kit is for users who already have fibre preparation tools and require additional equipment specific for Hot Melt termination.
